Breakfast, Pho, Banh Mi, Vegetarian and Halal Food Near GOAT Tattoo

Short answer: Eat a proper meal one to two hours before your session at GOAT Tattoo Studio. Within about 500 m of 56 Trang Thi there are pho shops, banh mi bakeries, sticky-rice stalls, brunch cafés, more than ten vegetarian or vegan restaurants and several places listed as halal. Many traditional breakfast spots close by early afternoon, so for a morning appointment, eat early.

All places below come from Google Maps in October 2026. Ratings and review counts are as shown then, distances are straight-line from the studio, and nobody paid to be listed. Opening hours are as listed on Maps and do change, so check before you go.

Why eat before a tattoo

A session can last several hours. With low blood sugar, pain feels sharper and some people feel faint or nauseous. A normal meal with some carbohydrate and protein, plus water, makes the session easier for you and for your artist. Our appointment preparation guide covers the rest of the morning, and our post on caffeine before a tattoo explains why one coffee is fine but four is not.

Bring a snack and a drink for long sessions too. A banh mi from the list below travels well.

  • Afternoon appointment: a normal lunch an hour or two before. Avoid a very heavy, greasy meal right before you lie down for hours.
  • Long session: bring a banh mi, fruit or a sweet drink for the break.
