How to Get to GOAT Tattoo on Trang Thi: Airport, Train, Bus and Grab

Short answer: GOAT Tattoo Studio is on the 2nd floor of 56 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, at the western edge of the Old Quarter. From Noi Bai Airport it is about 28 km, roughly 55 minutes by car. Hanoi Railway Station is a 10-minute walk away, and from most Old Quarter hotels a Grab ride takes around 10 minutes.

The times below come from Google Maps directions checked on a weekday morning in October 2026. Hanoi traffic changes a lot by hour and by day, so treat them as a guide and add a margin before your appointment.

From Noi Bai International Airport

• By car (taxi or Grab): about 27.8 km, around 55 minutes via the Nhat Tan bridge route. In rush hour or rain it can take noticeably longer.
• By public bus: route 86 runs between the airport (T1 and T2) and Hanoi Railway Station, passing through the city centre. From the railway station it is a 10-minute walk to the studio. Check the current timetable and fare before you travel, as they change. Google Maps also suggests a cheaper city-bus combination with a change, at around 1 hour 25 minutes.

From Hanoi Railway Station

Hanoi Railway Station (Ga Hà Nội, 120 Le Duan) is about 700 m away, a 10-minute walk on flat streets via Le Duan and Cua Nam. If you arrive on an overnight train from Sapa, Hue or the south, you can walk straight over, but leave time for breakfast and a shower first.

From the long-distance bus stations

Times by car, with the direct city-bus option where Google Maps showed one:

• My Dinh bus station (west): about 9 km, 35 minutes by car. City bus 34, around 27 minutes.
• Giap Bat bus station (south): about 5.8 km, 21 minutes by car. City bus 32, around 20 minutes.
• Nuoc Ngam bus station (south): about 8.8 km, 32 minutes by car.
• Gia Lam bus station (east, across the river): about 7.2 km, 28 minutes by car. City bus 34, around 26 minutes.

City bus fares shown on Maps were ₫10,000. With luggage, a Grab car is usually simpler.

Around the city

• Old Quarter (Ta Hien area): about 2 km by road, around 10 minutes in a Grab. The weekend night market start on Hang Dao is about 900 m, a 12-minute walk.
• Long Bien Railway Station: about 1.8 km, 10 minutes by car, or city bus 146.
• Cat Linh metro station (Line 2A): about 2.8 km, 14 minutes by car, or city bus 146 in around 8 minutes.
• Nearest bus stops: 7 Nguyen Thai Hoc (about 160 m) and the Viet Duc Hospital stop at 40 Trang Thi (about 230 m).

Arriving and finding the door

• Use the full address in Grab: “56 Tràng Thi, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội”. Typing it with Vietnamese accents gives the most accurate pin.
• Look for the neighbours: the studio is a few steps from Mộng Mer restaurant at 54B Trang Thi.
• Go up to the 2nd floor.
